Jason Geh’s Jazz Band performance today is for Nikon’s product launch. The band on this eventful day consisted of 5 performers (a female singer accompanied by 4 musicians) i.e
They performed 2 sets of Jazz music, once during cocktail (unplugged) and the other during dinner (amplified). The cocktail set was basically instrumental in nature featuring the saxophonist. However, the guitarist did sing at times strolling style. Jason Geh later brought his saxophone and joined the group to enhance the music and the fun!
The 2nd set featured the full band with the inclusion of the female singer. They performed many easy listening jazz numbers in styles of bossanova, swing, foxtrot and R & B as Nikon wanted the atmosphere during dinner to be classy.
Thus Jason Geh specially pre-selected their performance repertoire from jazz artistes like Diana Krall, Astrud Gilberto, Natalie Cole, Norah Jones, Julie London, Michael Buble, Sergio Mendez, Fred Astaire, Anita Baker, Frank Sinatra etc
The video today (about 6 minutes in length) contained snippets of the unplugged set. Other clips in the video include Jason Geh’s keyboard solo and the guitar solo There are also clips of both vocalists singing (female and male)
