Wedding couple Shera and Azimah opted for my Jazz band to perform for their wedding reception today (2nd July 2011). They chose to go instrumental featuring the saxophonist and violinist.
We performed a combination of sentimental love songs with some jazz and oldies during dinner. At the 3rd dish, we took a break for a speech by Shera’s dad followed by the slides presentation.
Our Jazz Trio then continued with our second session of entertainment.
The saxophonist and violinist took turns to render the melody complimenting each others performance with repertoire pre-selected by the newlyweds.
A speech by Shera’s friend ensued proceeding to the cake cutting ceremony. The night was then rounded off by the groom’s speech.
This was truly a Malaysian wedding with guests composing of mix races and cultures as Shera is of Malay and Chinese heritage.
Do watch the video above for highlights of this wedding event which was held at the Palace of the Golden Horses. The bridal couple's entry being ushered into the ballroom by the saxophonist was captured.
Forward the video to 2:55 and 5:14 to directly access our performance. Or you can watch the whole clip; it’s about 7 minutes in length.
Thus, if you have interest on having a quality instrumental Jazz band to performed for a wedding or corporate event in Malaysia, do contact me Jason Geh at 016 2800216
