One of KL’s most sought-after wedding music bands performed at Eugene and Michelle’s wedding reception held at Renaissance Hotel on the 8th of May 2010.
This music trio was provided by Jason Geh Entertainment. The newlyweds specifically chose an instrumental wedding music band that feature a saxophone player, er hu player accompanied by a keyboard player.
They wanted to maintain solemnity during their reception thus a vocalist was not opted. 30 minutes of live saxophone music was performed from 7:30pm onwards to usher in the guest. After the bridal couple’s entrance, food presentation and two video presentations, the wedding music band performed their second session featuring the er hu player performing solo and was later backed by Jason Geh on the keyboards.
The band’s third and final session commence after the traditional chinese styled toasting ceremony and the groom’s speech, this time round with all the three musicians performing together as an ensemble.
They performed a mix of jazz standards and evergreens but it was evident that the sound of the er hu with the chinese tunes that Jason has specially chosen to render, drew the most applause and attention from the majority of the diners. The music produced by this wedding band even galvanizes an elderly couple on to the stage to dance the cha cha during the band performance.
One of Jason’s old friend, a percussion player who attended the wedding spontaneously appeared on stage to jam a few songs with the wedding music band, who was receptively obliging.
