Jason Geh Wedding Live Band performed at the wedding dinner of Mr Philip Chin and Ms Petrina Chua at the Palace of the Golden Horses hotel in KL, Malaysia on 16th January 2010.

  Jason Geh Wedding Live Band

Jason’s live band line-up during this wedding featured two male singers who are established musicians independently. One of the male singer plays the double bass while the other plays the saxophone and flute. It’s very colorful to see singers who are also experienced musicians.

The band got even more interesting with the inclusion of an Er hu player. This added a traditional element to the sound of the band. On keyboards was the band leader Jason Geh providing the harmony and drum beat.

Among songs they perform were commercial jazz numbers like “the look of love”, “the days of wine and roses” and “the way you look tonight”. The saxophone player sang classics like “stand by me”, “can’t help falling in love” and “sway”.

The Er hu player rendered Chinese tunes like “Rose, Rose, I love you”, “xiao cheng gu shi”, “yeh lai shiang while the double bassist sang the bulk of the songs for the night with songs like “Islands in the sun”, “Siow wei”, “you belong to my heart” and during the dance set with numbers like “YMCA”, “achey brakey heart”, “Diana” and “quando, quando”.

There were many request for Jason’s wedding live band to perform on this date but priority went to this great wedding couple. Petrina’s parents, Mr and Mrs Chua knew there will be a lot of couples getting married on this day and had the foresight to booked Jason’s band 6 months in advance!
