19th March 2008 - Stylo KL Fashion Festival

"Our live group was invited to perform at this event literally the very last minute. Never did i get an invitation to perform for an event at such short notice. It was kind of exciting and fortunately all my band members were available and agreed to do it. I really enjoyed myself. It was a night filled with Retro music from funk, latin, to disco and rock & roll from the band.

It was also my first time stepping into Pavilion KL since it's opening. I was utterly amaze to reach my destination with such ease. Just park my car, entered the lift and there I was, at Porte Cochere. A night filled with big shots, VIP's and beautiful people who really know how to party!

One thing worth mentioning was the great sound we had on stage and an unexpected appearance at the party by Simon Yam, the Hong Kong actor. He arrived just in time to celebrated his 54th birthday. Yam was greeted by Stylo president and CEO Datuk Nancy Yeoh and Pavilion KL director Joyce Yap."

Pavilion Kuala Lumpur is the official venue sponsor of Stylo KL Fashion Festival from 14th till 22nd of March 2008 and the live band JaysJam! lead by International Electone Festival winner Jason Geh will be performing for the closing of this grand event. See you there!

Live Jazz Entertainment by Vanessa, Charles and Jason Geh for employees of Intel Electronics. This Event was held at a Thai Restaurant called Montein, Jalan Ara, Bangsar. Among those who attended the dinner was Mr Ryaz Patel, manager of Intel Electronics Malaysia.

8th March 2008 - Wedding of Eleena and Michael

JaysJam! Jazz trio provided live band entertainment for the guest of Eleena and Michael's wedding at Equatorial Hotel, Anggerik Room, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. There were 3 weddings happening simultaneously tonight at the hotel. Must be an auspicious date for chinese weddings.

This couple met during their studies in Melbourne. When i spoke to Eleena through the phone, I thought she was "Mat Salleh" due to her strong accent. Our group was referred to Eleena by Ying Ling, Cheryl and family as they like our performance at Yin Ling's wedding last year. We met Cheryl during our New Year's Eve Performance 2006 at Pangkor Laut.
Our Jazz Group features...

• Jason Geh, band manager/ keyboardist who was the winner of the International Electone Festival in Paris,
• Jerry, a multi instrumentalist that plays the Double Bass and has the voice of Johnny Mathis, Elvis Presley, Tom Jones and Nat King Cole combined, and
• Thomas on Soprano and Tenor Saxophone who has the versatility to improvise and play any Song. There will be a time during our performance when he will mingle among the crowd serenading them with his rendition of Kenny G hits.

3rd March 08 - Karyawan's 8th Anniversary

For those of you who are not familiar with Karyawan, they are actually a Malaysian Union for Actors and Musicians. This event held in Ritz Carlton Hotel Kl is similar to Hollywood's Grammy and Academy Awards put together in a night.

Karyawan had Jason Geh and his band JaysJam! accompany some of the local recording artiste namely Dayang Nurfaizah, Sean Ghazi, Hannah Tan, FarahDhiya and Julie Sudiro. Among others that add color to the event were vocal performances by Ning Baizura, Maya Karin, Adibah Noor and puisi recital by Datuk Sarimah.

Awards were presented by Karyawan President Mr Freddie Fernandez to veteran Artiste and high achievers in the local music industry. This event was grace by the attendance of Yang Berbahagia Datuk Haji Khalid Yunus

1st March 08 - Wedding of Crystal and Adrian

It was Annette, Crystal's mum who saw our live band performing at Poh Suan's wedding on the 22nd of December 2007 in Shangrila Hotel, KL that lead to this day for our group, JaysJam!

We are the Muhibbah band aptly put by an Emcee during Joanne and Martin's wedding on the 9th of December 2007 at One World Hotel near One Utama, Petaling Jaya as our Jazz Ensemble is made up of different races from Malay, Chinese to Indian all performing happily together as a combo(click the link and watch the video).

















Crystal and Adrian's wedding was held in Westin Hotel KL ballroom, one of my favourite performance venues. We played a wide variety of tunes featuring Razak on Saxophone, Chan on Er Hu that adds traditional sounds to the band, Pete on double bass and yours truly Jason Geh on keyboards as well as being their band manager.

We are a versatile instrumental and vocal music quartet that provides Jazz, oldies, traditional, latin, and any other styles of music there is.









It was so touching to see the video presentation of Crystal and Adrian's morning ceremony that it actually brought tears to my eyes. But they were able to contain their emotions of joy throughout dinner.









On a lighter note, it's normal tradition for chinese wedding during the toasting to scream "Yam Seh" three times. So when the Emcee said, "let's raise up your glass and ..... Cheers!" brought a big smile on my face expecting the typical howler.

Thanks for having us guys! Have a good honeymoon in Bali.
