KL Wedding Music Band @ Eugene’s Wedding, Malaysia

One of KL’s most sought-after wedding music bands performed at Eugene and Michelle’s wedding reception held at Renaissance Hotel on the 8th of May 2010. This music trio was provided by Jason Geh Entertainment. The newlyweds specifically chose an instrumental wedding music band that feature a saxophone player, er hu player accompanied by a keyboard player.

They wanted to maintain solemnity during their reception thus a vocalist was not opted. 30 minutes of live saxophone music was performed from 7:30pm onwards to usher in the guest. After the bridal couple’s entrance, food presentation and two video presentations, the wedding music band performed their second session featuring the er hu player performing solo and was later backed by Jason Geh on the keyboards.

The band’s third and final session commence after the traditional chinese styled toasting ceremony and the groom’s speech, this time round with all the three musicians performing together as an ensemble.

They performed a mix of jazz standards and evergreens but it was evident that the sound of the er hu with the chinese tunes that Jason has specially chosen to render, drew the most applause and attention from the majority of the diners. The music produced by this wedding band even galvanizes an elderly couple on to the stage to dance the cha cha during the band performance.

Jazz Band / Event Band LIVE at Event in KL, Malaysia

The Jazz Band / Event Band from Jason Geh Entertainment was invited to perform at Lafarge long service awards presentation ceremony held in Eastin Hotel, Petaling Jaya on 30th April 2010. Jason performs and manages his own Jazz Band / Event Band that specializes in providing live music entertainment for events such as this one.

Clients generally request for two to six piece Jazz Band / Event Band combination, sometimes with vocals, at other times instrumental but most often, a mix of vocals and instrumental. Lafarge decided on hiring Jason’s three piece line-up made up of a female singer, saxophone player and Jason himself on the keyboards. This combination sounds thoroughly complete with the female singer providing the melody, the saxophone player adding embellishments and the keyboardist covering the harmony, bass and drums.

But do note that with the inclusion of additional musicians will further enhance the Jazz Band / Event Band audibly as well as visually. For instance, Jason has an electric guitarist in his group who also sings incredibly. The presence of the electric guitarist will further add color, as there will then be two singers instead of one, taking turns to sing, a female and a male singer.

Jason Geh’s Jazz Band / Event Band can be further fortified by the inclusion of a lady violinist or even an er hu player. The er hu player is currently very popular among clients who wish to create a traditional element to a modern sounding Jazz Band / Event Band as live music entertainment at their events.

More musicians could be available upon request in Jason’s music ensemble if further diversity is required. There is even a great trumpet player in his circle. Leave it to Jason to carefully concoct an ideal combination of musicians suited for the theme of your event that is based on your musical preferences.
