Wedding Jazz Trio in Malaysia - Wedding of Jon and Adeline

Jason Geh Jazz Trio performing at Jon and Adeline's wedding at Golden Phoenix, Equatorial Hotel KL, Malaysia on 24th May 2008. Jon was very precise about the kind of music he wanted from the band. When we first spoke on the phone, nothing else strike me most than his love for Jazz. No vocals, strictly mainstream with lot's of improvisation.

Play Antonio Carlos Jobim, Chet Baker, Miles Davis... Frankly, I haven't had this type of request for a long long time. But it was really fun for me and my musicians to be able to "let go" and have the freedom to express our art. Am looking forward to more such gigs in the future.

Live Music Strollers at Datuk Mah's Birthday Dinner

Music Strollers on a roll!

There seems to be many request for music strollers lately. That's what happens when great musicians get together. They provide awesome music performing Songs to entertain. Below are some great snap shots taken. Among VIP's that grace the occasion were Tun Dr Ling and spouse as you can see jamming with the musicians and Petronas President / CEO Tan Sri Mohd Hassan Marican. Also photos of the Mah daughter's dedicating a Song to their parents.

This dinner was held at "Top Room", Jalan Pinang, KL, Malaysia on the 17th of May 2008. I had the most pleasant surprise when they serve us "Penang lemak laksa" for dinner. It's been a long time that I've had it and the one that they serve here was utterly tasty!

Thank's to Datuk and Datin Mah for having JaysJam! strollers as live entertainment. Incidentally, Datuk Mah Siew Kwok is the CEO of Formis Resources Bhd.

Live Music Trio - Nestle Nutrition Institute Malaysia

This is the third part of Nestle's 1st Scientific Symposium held in Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia on the 3rd of May 2008. JaysJam live music trio was the main entertainment for the night providing lively instrumental music. The audience were made up of mainly doctors who were extremely receptive to the colorful three piece band comprising of Tom on Tenor and Soprano Saxophone, Chan on Er Hu(Chinese Violin) and band manager Jason Geh on keyboards.

Tom, Malaysia's most versatile Saxophone player went down to the audience and serenade them with his rendition of Kenny G numbers. Chan, with his selection of Teresa Teng favourites mesmerize the crowd with his soothing tones and charismatic demeanor. And Jason, providing the support crucial to the band handling the piano, bass and drum parts proficiently with his mastery on the keyboards. Non of the music performed were pre-programmed nor was it sequenced unlike most lounge keyboardist do. That is the specialty of JaysJam, the ability to play a wide range of music "live" with just a trio and sounding exciting, full and complete.

This event was held in the ballroom of Pacific Sutera Harbour Resort in KK. JaysJam performed for the 1st part of the symposium as well at G Hotel, Penang last week(26th April). A special thanks to Joanne for her professionalism, her 5 star hospitality shown to the band and for making it all possible for JaysJam to share their brand of music to a group of people who appreciate quality music and are not shy to show it.
